PRAYER REQUEST FOR JOHNNY WICK

Happy New Year everyone. I am writing to ask you for your prayers for a family matter rather than for work.

On Friday January 12th my Mother, Muriel, is moving from her Care Home in Scarborough to a Nursing Home in East Hull only 4 miles from where I live. Her Doctor, District Nurses and Staff at her present home all agree that as her needs are changing she needs to move from a Residential Home to a Nursing Home where she will get the nursing care she needs. As a family we have had a dilemma - do we move here elsewhere in Scarborough so she will still be near her home, church, memories etc. in Filey or do we move her to Hull where she will be nearer to me and also nearer for my brother and sister who live in Sheffield and Grantham. We have discussed with Mum from the outset and asked her which she would prefer? She very definitely chose Hull as she wants a new adventure and to be closer to me so she can visit my house and come to my church! She remembers Hull from when I worked here before from 1991 - 1998.
The move will be a big upheaval for her and we hope she will settle quickly. Mentally, despite her dementia, she is still very with it and understands what is happening, but she may not find the change easy.
The move entails a lot of work as her present room needs to be emptied and there is a lot of paperwork to do so your prayers for the move would be much appreciated. She is leaving a lot of friends behind so I am hoping that local people will visit her so she makes new friends. She loves it when people visit and you can have a good conversation with her.

Her new address from January 12th will be:

Muriel Wick
Sunningdale Court
Birkdale Way
Hull
East Yorkshire
HU9 2BH

Your prayers would be much appreciated.
